Are the villas completely furnished?
Every Gulf Haven villa is furnished, including fully equipped kitchen, bed and bath linens, and beach towels. See individual villa pages for amenities, or if you’re wondering about something specific, ask us!
Can I rent daily or weekly?
Gulf Haven requires a minimum 1 month stay.
How much is the deposit?
A $500 refundable security deposit is due upon receipt of your rental contract. Security deposits are refunded in full after your departure, assuming no damage/issues are found.
How do I make payments for my stay?
Payment can be made by check or as indicated in your rental contract. In addition to $500 refundable security deposit, your first payment (50% of total) is due at least 90 days before arrival. Remaining 50% is due 60 days before arrival.
Do you charge a cancellation fee?
Gulf Haven will fully refund payments for stays cancelled more than 60 days prior to arrival date. Payments for cancellations made between 30-60 days prior to arrival date will be refunded if we are able to re-book the villa for the full time period of your reservation. Payments for cancellations made with fewer than 30 days’ notice prior to arrival date will not be refunded.
Are pets allowed?
No. Some Gulf Haven villa owners have pets, subject to certain limits. But neither these owners’ personal guests nor any rental guests may bring pets onto the property.
Is smoking allowed?
No smoking or vaping of any kind is allowed in Gulf Haven villas or on our shared property (courtyard, patio, beach, pool areas).
Are utilities included in the rates?
Yes.
Is there daily housekeeping?
No. Guests are responsible for their own cleaning and daily upkeep. We can recommend a provider for you if you’d like to pay for occasional cleaning service during your stay.
Are beach umbrellas/canopies/paddleboards/beach equipment/toys provided?
No. Gulf Haven provides beach chaises, chairs, and some small portable tables for guest use at the beach and in our pool area. We do not guarantee the availability of any other beach equipment, though some villas have a collection of items that guests may borrow. We can also recommend a local services that rents these items.
Are bikes/watercraft available?
Gulf Haven does not provide bikes for guest use, but we can recommend a local bike rental service. Watercraft are not available and may not be launched from Gulf Haven’s beach, but again, we can recommend local providers for these activities.
Are cribs/high chairs available?
Gulf Haven does not provide baby equipment, but we can recommend a local rental service that will deliver/pick up these items.
Do I need a car to get around Siesta Key?
Most of our guests do find it useful to have a car, in order to easily access Sarasota’s retail, restaurants, services and many charms. You can also rely on public bus service, taxis and ride share companies, and within Siesta Key, “free ride” services that will provide rides in and out of Siesta Village in exchange for tips. In addition, delivery services such as Instacart, Amazon/Whole Foods, GrubHub, etc. deliver to our villas.
